I’ve just been reading about this coming 2nd depression era due to the US stock crash due Setp08/Feb09….I’m very worried about this. I don’t know much about economics and what exactly the ramifications may be. I’m wondering that if it is as bad as people are saying (martial law in the USA), do you have any idea of how affected the rest of the world will be, especially in New Zealand where I live lol?
I understand that there are no guarantees here, but any opinion would be helpful as I see you are interested in this situation.

Hi Mark,
I am not an experienced financial advisor, and so please take that into account when I give my opinion. My guess is that all paper currencies would hyperinflate because the US dollar is the world’s reserve currency, which is why I recommend a small fraction of savings be in the form of gold bullion coins (I have a few Australian Kangaroos/ Nuggets).
New Zealand makes sense as it is somewhat geographically isolated and there is a lot of land and so people can grow their own food. I suggest you move to the countryside so that you have a good food supply in case food becomes very expensive.
I think there is a good chance that it is as bad as they say, but then again, I am a conspiracy theory type of person.
But do not fear. it is written:
Rom 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

Hi AJ,
I live in the Philippines. Exodus 2-:8-11 says that we are not to work on the Sabbath, which is Saturday. I am not currently obeying this commandment, althhogh I do my best not to work on weekends. I attend worship service on Sundays.
So it looks like I am completely dependent on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as without Him, I am toast.
