Jesus the Christ’s birthday is on sunset Sep 22, 2010!
Jesus was born during the Feast of Tabernacles. This is on Sep 22, 2010. The date changes every year. I will let you work it out for yourself from the clues below. It is more fun that way.
1Ch 24:10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
Luk 1:5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.Luk 1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Remember to greet Jesus the Christ on His brithday this year. At the time of writing, this is tomorrow, at sunset, September 22, 2010, which is the Feast of Tabernacles!
Here is a treat for you. Enjoy!
How I Bought My First Hillsong DVD
I decided to go to the Christian bookstore about 15 minutes drive from my place. About halfway there, I had an urge to make a U-turn, and head to the mall, so I made a U-turn. Immediately after I got one of those heart-wrenching feelings, which is typically a sign of the Holy Spirit saying: “WHAT???”, and so I made a right and a right and ended up at my original destination.
God always chooses the best for us. The bookstore had a fresh shipment of stock and I was able to get a collection of Christian Poetry (The Lion Book of Christian Poetry), which is a rare find in the Philippines. I also picked up a Hillsong DVD. I selected “Mighty to Save”, not knowing much on how to choose. It was not their newest DVD. There was another one called Beautiful Exchange, which looked somewhat dark, and I thought would not play well. I may get it later to compare.
I loved the “Mighty to Save” DVD. If you have not bought a Hillsong DVD I suggest this one, as it plays very well on screen, as it brighter than the others. Just my preference. I do not see the point of dark shots in video, although this may be “cool” nowadays. Here is a sample from one of the tracks which someone uploaded to YouTube. I definitely recommend you get the DVD. It is very well made, and the songs are Biblical.
There are no coincidences. God controls all events. I needed to understand what worship is, and the DVD helped me with that. Last weekend, I went on a retreat at a place called Touch of Glory Prayer Mountain (a retreat center in Antipolo, Metro-Manila, Phillipines), and I sang worship songs in the sound-proofed prayer cell with some of the DVD tracks on my iPod. It was almost like being there! And I was with God, who later, in His still small voice, urged me to forgive.
We draw close to God through worship. It is the purpose of our existence:
Rev 4:10-11 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ” Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Till next time, God bless…
