Yes, that approach is sound. It is limited in scope as building a deep relationship takes time and can only be done with a few people. I also do this. However, I still believe that evangelizing to strangers should be done, and YouTube and the internet in general has made this easier, although open air settings are still effective. In the end it is God who converts anyway. On our end, we need to have more faith, support our effort with prayer, and persevere. I think one reason that evangelism is not as effective as it used to be is that prayer life nowadays is not as deep as it used to be.

I have some videos on my YouTube channel that show recent mission trips in the Philippines where we were able to have close to a hundred people accept Christ ("Reaching the Youth of the Philippines"). Most of those that accepted Christ were children, and the last news I heard (in Dec) was that the children were bringing their parents to church. My church also has a ministry for children. There are so many children that we have a special early service at 7AM just for the children (the Philippines is 35% children). I hope this encourages you.

God bless,

its just my view that just evangilism doesn't work like it used to anymore. i believe loving people and building a relationship with people is more effective and when timing is right you witness to them.

The USA Constitution prevents the government from establishing a national religion. However, religion was never excluded from public life. For example, there was still prayer allowed in schools, prayer before meetings, etc., which people were free to do if they wished, and were free not to do if they preferred not to. The deliberate legislative exclusion of God from public life is a fairly recent phenomenon. In order to understand why this has happened, you need to look at secret societies, what these believe in, and where they are. My YouTube channel has some playlists that give a starting point.

If you saw someone doing something dangerous (drinking and driving, for example), you would still warn them, even if it offends. The same with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Gospel offends. We are told by God that it will, and that Christians will be persecuted for communicating the Gospel.

John 15:19-20 "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. "

There is a Biblical basis for the fact that God ordains governments, which is why it is necessary to give a warning too, even if it offends. It is written:

Romand 13: 1-7 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour."

When this was written, Nero was the Roman emperor and was killing Christians. Yet we are to pray, pay taxes, and support our government as much as we are able to, in obedience to God. Hard to do, but it has to be done in obedience to God. We are all praying that God has mercy on the USA, and that it turns to the source of its strength: that it spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world!

God bless,
George

you realize that when America was founded we created freedom of religion for people who were any religion so they could come here without persicution. just because we don't preach Jesus in government doesn't mean America is going to fall. this is actually the sort of problem people are finding with Christians. were always saying things like this and the problem with that is me and you get painted with the same brush. instead sit back and love people for who they are. don't just go out and say believe in Jesus. i mean its great if you bring someone to Jesus. but no one wants to hear it just out of the clear blue because so many people have preached Jesus and caused so much damage. The Bible states to love your neighbor. Your neighbor isn't just your Christian friends. But everyone. Just love people and when the time comes then talk to them about Jesus Christ.

Cheers,
