Prosperity Gospel is Satan’s doctrine
Prosperity gospel, which is widely proclaimed in the mass media all over the world, is Satan’s doctrine. We are told by God in His Word not to love the world. Compare the verses in Genesis with the verses in 1 John. Notice the similarities?
Gen 3:6 “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. “
1Jn 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Prosperity gospel basically says that if you are a follower of Christ, you will have prosperity, which is usually taken to mean, a lot of wealth and happiness, instead of poverty and persecution. Some people who believe in the prosperity gospel think that if you are rich, then this means that God is rewarding you for obeying Him. Another popular belief is that if you give to the church, then you will be rewarded with wealth (this assumes that blessings from God are mainly material, and that God will not bless Christians with persecution and suffering in order to strengthen their faith).
Do not be deceived by televangelists on TV. The video below illustrates the Biblical approach to giving:

It is important that Roman Catholics be aware of the occult origins of the Catholic Church, and that they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour immediately. In all the face to face evangelical sessions I have done at my Church, most of the people we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to are Catholics and none of them know the Gospel. They know who Jesus Christ is, and what He did, but they do not understand why, and the significance of what He did. Please pray that God opens their eyes to the truth quickly as the time is short.

My church organized a weekend retreat for its members in the Word of Life Camp in Laguna, Philippines. It is a beautiful camp, with plenty of trees, fresh air, peace, clean cottages, swimming pool, and the confidence course. The confidence course consisted of climbing up a metal pole with steps, walking on a horizontal board, stepping over a gap, walking on another horizontal board until you reach the other pole, walking back halfway to the gap, turning to the side, leaning back, and then being hoisted down. You are strapped to a harness suspended over a rope that goes over a pulley, and the other end of the rope is attached to a harness on someone on the ground, and you also wear a helmet. So you do not fall down and die if you lose balance. My daughter and niece managed to complete it, and I thought I would give it a try too.
I slowly climbed up the pole, and then positioned myself on the board while still holding on to the pole. When I looked around my legs started to shake and this caused the board to shake too! I started breathing fast. I was really scared to let go of the pole and start walking on the board!
My church brothers and sisters were all encouraging me. “You wont be a hero if you do not do this!” “Dont look down!” “Bend your knees!” “You can do it!”. I was in a panic! I remembered a verse from the Bible: “I can do all things through Christ…” and I forgot how the verse should end, but it helped. I prayed to God to give me the strength to push ahead. My legs stopped shaking. I took a few deep breaths, avoided looking down, and let go of the pole.
As I started taking step by step on slightly bent knees, holding on to the rope attached to my harness, I felt the board wobble. I reached the gap. I almost started to panic again, but I stepped over the gap. My foot landed on the other board and I almost ran to the other end!
Going back was easier, but turning around to the side in preparation for leaning back was scary. I finally turned around, and then when they told me below that they were ready, I leaned back and fell down and rope attached to my harness was gradually lowered until I reached the ground.
I felt so good when I made it back down! Cheers everywhere. I could not have done it without the help of my Lord and Saviour, and my God, Jesus Christ.

War Stories 2008/3/18
I have been on YouTube for about 6 months now. As of today, 6:26PM, I have had 6,065 views of my YouTube videos. I must have responded to over a hundred video comments and private messages. However, I have yet to know of one person who has been converted. Maybe I do not pray enough? Maybe I need to reach more people? This is a common experience from people who do evangelism. It is very easy to be discouraged at this point, and to give up. So it makes sense for me to explain to you, dear reader, why I am going to carry on.
Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”
There are 3 action words here: Go, Teach, and Baptize. So was this command obeyed? Go: I made the videos on YouTube. Teach: The videos were viewed over 6000 times. Baptize: none. Well, two out of three. The last is difficult as people are baptized as a profession of their belief in the Gospel. However, God is the one who causes a person to believe. In the passage below, Jesus speaks to the people:
John 6:39-40 “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent Me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
It is the Father that causes people to believe the Gospel. By sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we obey the command of our Lord. The Word of God always fulfills the purpose for which it was sent. It is written:
Isa 55:9-11 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
God is in control. Let us trust God, and obey His command…
1 Cor 3:5-7 “Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”
…and God will provide the results.

Communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
When we were asked by our Lord to share the Gospel to the entire world, were we asked to do something that required a lot of skill? The Gospel is not difficult to understand. We are sinners. The penalty of sin is death and eternal torment in hell. Jesus Christ paid for your sins by His death on the cross. He was ressurected and will come again as Judge. Repent (reject sin) and believe in the Gospel. But only those called by God will believe. It is written:
1 Cor 1:17-21 “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”
Does this mean that eloquence, argumentation, and philosophy will not work (“wisdom of words”) but instead communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ (“foolishness of preaching”) is all that is required? Let us read on:
1 Cor 1:22-29 “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.”
Miracles and philosophical argument are not the means to convert! Only God converts, and our role is simply to communicate the Gospel, and let God do the rest. The people who are called by God will not appear to be impressive to the world (“not many wise men”, “not many mighty”, not many noble”), and in fact, they will appear to be foolish and weak people. So it will be obvious that God was the one who converted, and the glory will be His.
So brothers and sisters in Christ, do not be discouraged, and do not shy from communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Do you feel weak (unskilled, unimpressive, unintelligent, etc.)? It may be that God has chosen you, “..that no flesh should glory in His prescence.” Our highest calling in life is to be winners of souls, and the window of opportunity to do this is closing, as we are in the last days. Let us sieze the opportunity!
Rom 1:16a “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…”

The Fall of the USA
The USA is the most powerful nation in the world, and it is about to fall. It is fighting too many wars, owes too much money to foreigners, outsourced most of its production, and is completely unaware of the impending danger. The primary symptom of the fall will be the hyperinflation of the US Dollar, due to the enormous amount of paper money that has been created to support decades of credit-based consumption.
Most people will blame the fall on economic mismanagement by politicians, terrorism, foreign governments, etc. They will be wrong. The USA will fall for the same reason all states fall: the will of God.
The government of the USA has chosen to remove God from public life. Instead of encouraging people to pray, they make it a crime to pray in any government facility. Instead of turning from their wicked ways, they have allowed their nation to forget the Ten Commandments. Christians need to urgently pray for the USA and for its leaders, that God have mercy on them. God can do anything He wants. It is written:
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
People all over the world who have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour need to do so as soon as possible. We are in the End Times, and the window of opportunity to repent will eventually close. Repent while there is time.

There is something seriously wrong with science!
The Bible says that the universe was created by God approximately 6000 years ago (4004 BC). It also says that the universe was created in 6 days. Science says that the universe was created billions of years ago when nothing exploded (Big Bang theory). Both cannot be right, say the atheists and agnostics. Therefore there is something seriously wrong with science.
There are a couple of resources I want to share with you that can be starting points on your journey to discover the truth, especially since modern science dominates the worldview of most people. It can be very confusing to Christians who believe the Bible and have to explain why modern science contradicts a lot of what the Bible says.
One good resource is Kent Hovind’s series of seminars on Creation Science. Kent Hovind was a high school teacher before starting his Creation Science ministry. He is currently in jail for tax evasion. He may not have the complete explanation that reconciles modern science and the Bible, but his approach is sound, and his theories interesting. Another good resource for those of you who are more mathematically minded and with some background in modern physics is the Association for Biblical Astronomy. Their website (www.geocentricity.com) has a lot of information on Geocentricity. You might be shocked to hear that the Bible says that the earth is not moving, and is actually the center of the universe.
Finally, there are the theistic scientists who work at the Discovery Institute. Their papers can be found at their website (www.discovery.org).
One thing we know for certain: it is Jesus Christ who created the universe and He holds it together. It is written:
1 Cor 9-17 “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son: In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.”

Atheism to Christianity in less than 10 minutes
You can turn from an atheist to a Christian in less than 10 minutes by changing your mind. People change their mind all the time. People choose their beliefs not for intellectual reasons, but to satisfy their desires. Do you desire to obey God? If not, then atheism has many advantages. I have heard the argument that religion is a projection of one’s desires, and that it is a crutch to help us through life, however, this scenario fits atheism better. A person who does not want to be subject to will of God needs to eliminate God from his or her life. This is summarized well in Psalms 14:1-3: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
